TheAmericanCity.org is a monthly review of articles and books on city planning, urban design and city management. The purpose is to facilitate and promote the protection, enhancement and creation of character towns. The prize is multi-disciplinary and collaborative thinking and doing among the city-building professions:  the architects, city managers, civil engineers, planners, urban designers, economists, landscape architects and urban developers who design, build and manage our cities and towns. The goal is for every city and town to be a pleasant and prosperous place to live.
